Jeff Bridges Reflects on Health Journey

Oscar-winning actor Jeff Bridges has shared a promising update on his health, nearly five years after being diagnosed with lymphoma in 2020. In a recent interview with People magazine, Bridges said his health is now “very good” and that he’s “feeling good” despite facing some lingering challenges from Covid-19.

“Some Things Feel Like Old Age – or Maybe Covid”

Bridges, 75, opened up about ongoing symptoms like memory issues and loss of smell, which he attributes to potential long-term Covid effects. “Some things, it’s hard to tell if it’s the cancer and the Covid or if it’s just old age,” he said.

He contracted Covid-19 while undergoing chemotherapy and later described the illness as “worse than cancer.”

“Covid kicked my ass pretty good, but I’m double vaccinated and feeling much better now,” Bridges previously wrote in a health update.

From Diagnosis to Recovery

Bridges first announced his cancer diagnosis via X (formerly Twitter) in October 2020, saying he was undergoing treatment and felt fortunate to have a “great team of doctors.”

By 2021, he revealed that the cancerous mass had shrunk to the size of a marble, but at the same time, he was battling a severe case of Covid contracted at the facility where he received chemotherapy.

In his personal blog, he reflected:

“This brush with mortality has brought me a real gift — life is brief and beautiful.”

What’s Next for Jeff Bridges?

Despite the health hurdles, Bridges remains active in his career. He recently completed work on FX’s acclaimed series “The Old Man” and is preparing to reprise his role in the third installment of Disney’s Tron franchise, expected to release later this year.
